Everything you need for a perfect Christmas getaway! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials, including a slow cooker and crockpot. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location was fantastic, with beautiful grounds to explore and enjoy. Plus, the attention to detail in the renovation and styling of the hotel was evident everywhere you looked. The comfortable lounge area and cozy bed made our stay even more enjoyable. And the fact that our furry friends were welcome and had a great time in the shared lawn area was a big bonus.
Just a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay. we had some trouble figuring out how to operate the TV and switch between channels and Netflix.

Our stay at The Barley Mill was fantastic! The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful grounds and a shared lawn area that our dogs absolutely loved. The cottage itself was charming and comfortable with lots of quirky features. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a slow cooker and crockpot. We were impressed with the thought and attention to detail put into the renovation and styling of the property. The bed in the main bedroom was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We also appreciated the jar of homemade Pickle and bottle of Prosecco left for us by the host - a lovely touch. The fast WiFi and huge smart TV with access to Netflix and Disney+ were a blessing, especially when we wanted some peace and quiet while the kids were entertained. The BBQ outside was an added bonus. The Barley Mill felt like a home away from home and we highly recommend it.
The only minor drawbacks were the slow WiFi speed and the brightness of the ultra-modern light switches, but these didn't significantly impact our stay.

Loved having free bikes, perfect for exploring the area! The terrace was great for sipping wine and enjoying the garden. And free WiFi? What a luxury in this day and age!
Oh, the towels. They were just too fluffy and soft, it made it hard to leave them and go explore!

I had a fantastic time at The Barley Mill! The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful grounds that provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The cottage itself was charming and well-maintained, with a lot of thought and attention to detail put into the renovation and styling. The kitchen was fully stocked with crockery and equipment, making it easy to prepare meals. The lounge area was incredibly comfortable, as was the bed in the main bedroom. I also appreciated the fast WiFi and huge smart TV with access to Disney+ and Netflix, which was a blessing when I wanted some downtime. The BBQ outside was a wonderful addition. The owner, Andrea, was friendly and helpful, making sure that my stay was enjoyable. My two small dogs were also warmly welcomed and had a great time in the garden area and on the shared lawn. I highly recommend The Barley Mill as a charming and comfortable place to stay in a quiet and beautiful area.
Although my stay was wonderful, there were a few small drawbacks. there was a lack of convenient plug points near a mirror for hairdrying, which made getting ready a bit challenging.
